Inland Leaders Charter School

Beyond The Limits

ELOP/ExL

Inland Leaders Charter School’s Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP), known locally as EXL (Extended Learning), provides students with meaningful learning and enrichment opportunities beyond the traditional instructional day. ExL is designed to support the whole child by providing a safe, structured, and engaging environment that complements the regular school-day program. Students participate in a variety of structured activities that include academic and homework support, enrichment opportunities, physical activity, recreation, and opportunities for positive social interaction. Through these experiences, Inland Leaders seeks to extend learning beyond the classroom while supporting students’ academic, social-emotional, and physical development.

ExL operates at both Inland Leaders campuses and expands the school day to provide a nine-hour program for eligible students. The Yucaipa Boulevard Campus (YBC) opens at 6:45 a.m. and provides programming through 3:45 p.m., while the California Street Campus (CSC) operates from 7:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. Current ELOP funding allows Inland Leaders to provide these services at no cost to eligible students, including English learners, students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals, and foster or homeless youth.

In addition to expanded learning opportunities during regular school days, Inland Leaders extends programming beyond the traditional school calendar through spring camp, summer camp, summer school, and additional non-school-day programming. These extended opportunities help provide families with consistent access to high-quality programming while giving students additional opportunities to learn, explore interests, build relationships, remain physically active, and stay connected to the Inland Leaders school community throughout the year.
