The VA hospital in Loma Linda has a live-in wing for veterans who are in need of round-the-clock care. They have a cart that goes to the rooms of inpatients with various donated items. The items that are always in need are listed below. Some community service ideas might include, raising money to buy items, or simply asking around to family and friends, and gathering these items, or setting up a day to visit and deliver these items. For any question or more information, please reach out to the volunteer department, at the VA, with the information listed below.
-New socks
-Underwear (for both men and women)
-Gently used clothing (for both men and women, as well as children)
-Blankets and throws (crocheted, quilted, or fleece)
-Toiletries and self-care items
-Reading books and puzzle books
-They also appreciate cards and letters from children and adults alike. Some of the patients do not have family, or their family is out of state.
-Teens can volunteer for hours in the summer after attending a day of education and training. They must be 16 years of age or older.

A 501c3 non-profit ranch focused on the rescue, rehabilitation, re-training, and re-homing of Mustangs and other horses. Our mission is brought to life by our supporters and donors. Donations are always accepted whether it be monetary or through the various products needed to aid in the care of the rescues. Product donations include but are not limited to:
-Bags of carrots
-Children's Benadryl
-Senior feed (without molasses)
-Salt licks
-Equine first aid
-SWAT fly repellent ointment
-Wipe n' Spray for horses
-Washing products such as Mane 'N Tale shampoos, conditioners, and detanglers
-Horse blankets for the colder seasons
-Enrichment Toys such as Jolly Balls or yoga balls
Our organization depends on volunteers to help with the nourishment and rehabilitation of the rescues that have come from abusive/neglectful situations. Even without direct contact, they learn to trust and become more socialized as they are around more people who aren't going to hurt them. We encourage volunteers of all ages and all levels to come out and join in our goal to create a new beginning and brighter future for this magnificent animal. Our volunteers are educated on horse care and safety and are also rewarded after a certain amount of volunteer hours are reached with riding or learning how to ride. We encourage questions and are eager to teach the public about the mustang and other types of horses.
